Who we are

About Federation of Olympia

Federation of Olympia, officially known as ΣΥΜΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΣ ΑΜΚΕ, is a Greek non-profit civil company established in 2014.

The organisation was created with a vision centred on promoting the Olympic ideal, highlighting the historical importance of Olympia, and communicating the significance of the Olympic Truce.

Olympia, then and now

Ancient Olympia is one of the most important cultural and historical places in the world. Its legacy extends beyond athletic competition and reflects values associated with respect, excellence, friendship, peaceful coexistence, and human achievement.

Federation of Olympia seeks to bring these values into contemporary life through cultural projects, educational activities, sports initiatives, and public awareness programmes.

One of its central areas of activity is the promotion of the Route of Truce, an initiative that connects the historical heritage of Olympia with the universal message of peace. The organisation also supports initiatives that recognise cultural heritage, promote sporting values, and encourage cooperation among individuals, communities, and institutions.
